2024 reflected a remarkable year of growth, recognition, and innovation in sustainable agriculture for Cropinno. From winning the Arrell Food Summit grand prize and launching advanced farm valuation services to securing grant funding and strengthening partnerships, along with our team’s unwavering dedication, we’re poised to drive sustainable agriculture further in 2025.
Here’s a detailed recap and highlights of our 2024 achievements in agri-tech.

Starting Strong: Collaboration and Early Wins in Agri-Tech

The year kicked off with significant milestones for Cropinno. In the first quarter, we graduated from the Acceleration+ program alongside eight international startups, equipping us with tools to scale our agri-tech solutions into North American markets. Supported by Global Startups, TechPlace, and the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, this achievement laid a solid foundation for growth.
Simultaneously, Cropinno earned the Outstanding Pitch Award from Angel One Investor Network, spotlighting our innovative vision in agricultural technology. This early recognition propelled our momentum in the agri-tech industry.

Launching Advanced Farm Valuation Services: A Game-Changer for Agri-Tech

A defining highlight of 2024 was the launch of our advanced farm valuation services, a cutting-edge offering available for convenient farm property appraisal. Powered by state-of-the-art satellite imagery and AI technology, this service delivers precise, comprehensive data to assess farmlands. It empowers buyers, appraisers, and farm valuation companies with actionable insights, simplifying land assessments for buying, selling, or managing agricultural land. By providing clarity and confidence, our farm valuation tool maximizes investment value, reinforcing Cropinno’s leadership in land management and precision agriculture. Engaging the Agri-Tech Community Across Canada

In September, Cropinno showcased its solutions at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show 2024 in Woodstock, Ontario. Connecting with farmers, industry leaders, and innovators, we gained valuable feedback to refine our offerings. The event, featuring an Ag-tech breakfast hosted by the Arrell Food Institute and Bioenterprise Canada, highlighted the importance of collaboration in advancing sustainable agriculture.
That month, we also explored London, Ontario’s thriving agri-food ecosystem. Visiting innovation hubs like Western Research Parks and The Grove, we identified exciting opportunities for future partnerships in agri-tech, strengthening our network in Canada’s agricultural heartland.

Grand Prize Win at the Arrell Food Summit: A Sweet Milestone to Celebrate

October marked a pinnacle achievement for Cropinno. Selected as a finalist in the Arrell Food Summit Agri-Food Pitch Competition 2024, hosted by the Arrell Food Institute at the University of Guelph, we competed against top innovators. On World Food Day, October 16, at the Omni King Edward Hotel in Toronto, Cropinno won the grand prize of $20,000. This globally recognized event, designated as the FAO’s North American World Food Day Event, celebrated our satellite-powered solutions that empower farmers with sustainable farming insights. Our Co-founder, Hamed Hamedian, delivered an inspiring pitch about the company’s satellite and AI technology designed to make farming more convenient and sustainable, amplifying our role in shaping the future of agri-food. This accolade, paired with the prize money, fueled our mission to scale impactful agricultural technology.

Strategic Partnerships Driving Sustainability in Agriculture

In 2024, Cropinno forged powerful alliances. We partnered with Maplexcellence Inc. to offer carbon emission accounting services for farmers and agribusinesses. Using satellite data, we measure and mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, promoting climate-smart farming. In October, we became an Associate Supporter of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA), representing 38,000 farm families. This partnership aligns with our goal of ensuring “Farms and Food Forever” through innovative agri-tech solutions.

Securing i.d.e.a. Fund Grant for Clean Growth in Agri-Tech

In November, Cropinno joined Cohort 3 of the i.d.e.a. Fund program, supported by the Government of Canada via the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. With a non-repayable funding and expert guidance from Innovation Factory and Boundless Accelerator, we’re accelerating our clean growth innovations.
